Do you sometimes cry writing your own fiction?

Because, god, I’m torturing that poor little boy and he feels so bad in his skin and he is so scared and certain that people will hate him, and his mother loves him so and he can’t believe that she would be so accepting and why am I doing this to him?

Clearly I’m having problems.
